What makes some people rise to a challenge and others hide? Is it that some are just built tougher and therefore face the day with a different, more confident spirit? It's pretty sad to think we are how we are and that's all there is to it. This is why a Growth mindset is so important in all aspects of life! Nothing ventured, nothing gained is absolutely true! We may try something new and fall on our face, but learn from that experience. Or, we may try something new and discover something wonderful!
Having a Growth Mindset doesn't come naturally for many people, but it can be coached and taught. We can cultivate it in our families, children, students, and colleagues. My hope for my work family is that we can build a culture of having a growth and learner's mindset as I descibe below:

In nearly 3 decades working in professional and educational settings, I can embrace that it is both WHO you know and WHAT you know that can make all the difference in your daily responsibilities, skill advancement, and career progress. Here is where I contribute my knowledge and where I go to get (by with) a little help from my friends.
