5315: Training the Trainers: Evaluating Personalized Professional Learning

A perfect plan does not exist. We can schedule, prepare, coordinate, and collaborate, but something will always need to be adjusted. Just as with teaching children, individual assessments will help guide our next steps. These assessments may be formal or informal, qualitative, quantitative, or observational. The target for each type, though, is to improve upon what we've done to help the child learn and be successful.

My plan is to bring a personalized, blended learning approach to building capacity on the Waterford.org Professional Learning team. My approach includes some mandatory and some voluntary aspects. In all routes, the process will need to be evaluated and assessed. The included report analyzes literature on personalized learning and its impact on the greater community. The report shares how various industries assess the effectiveness of individualized professional learning on internal teams, partner support, and implementation science and how these assessment types can be applied to my plan. The format on the embedded Google Doc is a bit off, so please feel free to download my Literature Review at the button below.
